Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) owns and manages Volunteer Park. However, it currently has a $267 million backlog of citywide park maintenance costs, and cannot fully address all the needs of Volunteer Park's 48 acres and aging infrastructure. Volunteer Park Trust was formed to help address these needs.
