Halloween pet parade a huge success

Volunteer Park was packed last month with crowds of people and their costumed pets attending our first annual Halloween Pet Parade.

This October extravaganza featured over 20 vendor booths, food trucks (for both people and pets!), and over 100 entries into our pet costume competition.

Participants showed off their creativity, skills, and humor while vying for trophies, gift baskets, and raffle prizes — with plenty of photo opportunities for everyone. Nonprofits like Old Dog Haven and Seattle Humane shared their calling to rescue pets.

Many thanks to Event Sponsors Aegis Living on Madison and Jet City Animal Clinic.

And special thanks to our Community Partners Kaiser Permanente and 4Culture and to the many businesses whose in-kind donations filled our gift basket.
