Spring is in the air 🍃🌷 and nothing says spring like a fresh flower arrangement in your home. Learn how to create your own floral centerpieces in our virtual workshop! Registration comes with a kit of fresh spring flowers and a vase to create your blossoming masterpiece. Students will create their own symmetrical design arrangement in an oval vase with floral foam. The Friends of the Conservatory welcome’s Rebecca T. Valdovinos to teaching this Floral workshop at VP|C!
Kit pickups will be on Saturday April 17 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm, then join us in class the next day Sunday April 18 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Kit Includes
- 8” in round glass vase
- A selection of fresh spring flowers
- Floral foam block
What you will need at home
- Space to create your arrangements and a way to connect with us via zoom
- Garden snips or sharp kitchen scissors
About the instructor
Rebecca T. Valdovinos, M.A. Ed.
Rebecca began her interest in the creative arts as a teen in the “barrio” of East Los Angeles. Since then, she not only continued to grow as an artist, but obtained a Master of Arts in Education. This led to her academic career. She implemented a full curriculum in Floral Design & Merchandising for a northwest community college. Her career has included ownership of her floral business, Portland Rose Parade, freelance at various floral shops, and installations of special events like Microsoft’s family Christmas event. She also competed with thousands of applicants and was chosen twice to participate as part of the White House Christmas design team.
