Join us to explore Volunteer Park’s history and its Olmsted Brothers design, with its many architectural elements, including:
- The Art Deco Seattle Asian Art Museum
- Conservatory
- Water Tower
- Reservoir
This tour is limited to 30 people and will fill up quickly.

Past, present and future are all in one walking tour with docent Jennifer Ott.
Jennifer Ott is a professional historian who has explored many aspects of the Olmsted Brothers’ history in Seattle. She is a member of the Friends of Seattle’s Olmsted Parks Advisory Board, and serves on the Steering Committee of Volunteer Park Trust. Ms. Ott has published essays about Seattle’s Olmsted parks and boulevards on HistoryLink.org and recently co-authored the book Waterway: The Story of Seattle’s Locks and Ship Canal with David B. Williams. Her new book, Olmsted in Seattle: Creating a Park System for a Modern City, will be published this fall.
