Join VPT’s Emerging Leaders Committee for the 2nd Saturday Work Party on Saturday, November 9th to put the finishing touches on the latest addition to the park – tree identification plaques. These plaques will help park visitors learn about the diverse, fascinating selection of tree species that call Volunteer Park home.

The first phase of plaques will be installed in the southeast corner of the park, and the work will involve installing the plaques on the sign holders, digging or augering holes in tree beds, and installing the plaques next to their respective trees. Regular weeding and gardening opportunities will also be available.
