Volunteer Park Trust is working with Seattle Parks & Recreation and Seattle Conservation Corps to improve the North-South walking path parallel to 15th Ave E. in spring 2024. The project is anticipated to be finished by June 2024.
Resurfacing
The long North-South walking path from the water tower to the entrance on 15th Ave E had poor drainage, resulting in large pools of water on the path. VPT chose to work with the Seattle Conservation Corps to resurface and level the entire path.
Fundraising
The resurfacing of the paths is funded by generous community donations to Volunteer Park Trust.
